FHF Inquiry into the links between diet and behaviour
The Associate Parliamentary Food and Health Forum launched the report on 30 January 2008, at a very well attended meeting in Parliament. Publication of the report followed careful consideration of oral and written evidence submitted to the FHF inquiry team between February and October 2007. Parliamentarians, FHF members and journalists discussed the report’s conclusions and recommendations with the inquiry team and learnt about the next steps which will be taken. The report is being sent to relevant Government Ministers and Shadow Spokesmen as well as other organisations, such as the Food Standards Agency, the Royal College of General Practitioners and the General Medical Council, where recommendations are made which are relevant to their work. The report is now available for download from here.
An accompanying press release can be downloaded here.
A series of meetings were held from March to October 2007 at which guest speakers talked about different aspects of this complex subject. The programme of speakers is set out below.
The "call for evidence" is available here.
