Rothamsted Research GM Camelina Seed project and its implications for human health and the environment

On 24 November members discussed the Rothamsted research project which has developed genetically modified Camelina (“false flax”) seed so that it contains the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, in roughly the same proportion as found in fish, and the implications of this research for human health and the environment. Our guest speakers will be Professor Johnathan Napier, who led the research project; Professor John Stein of Oxford University and Dr Michael Antoniou of Kings College London.
