Behaviour Change & Public Health - half day summer conference
13 Jul 2011 09:30-12:30
Jubilee Room, House of Commons
The summer conference gave members an opportunity to consider how far the insights of behavioural science can be relied upon to help the UK secure its public health objectives. We were delighted that Baroness Neuberger, who chaired the House of Lords Select Committee inquiry on this subject, was able to speak to members in advance of the publication of the Committee's report the following week. Our other expert and distinguished speakers were: John Bromley, Director of the National Social Marketing Centre; Professor Theresa Marteau, Professor of Health Psychology, King’s College London and Director of the Centre for the Study of Incentives in Health and of the Behaviour and Health Research Unit, University of Cambridge; Professor Richard Parish, Chief Executive, Royal Society for Public Health; and Dr David Halpern, Director, Behaviour Insight Team, Cabinet Office.
